Reuters: Yahoo didn't tell Google about attacks / Microsoft clams up Now comes word that (reportedly) Yahoo knew about the Chinese attacks but apparently decided not to tell anyone else about them, and only confirmed them to Google when Google reached out to them in a sharing effort. And we're told that Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer doesn't want to ruffle feathers in Beijing: "I don't understand how that helps anything. I don't understand how that helps us and I don't understand how that helps China." Meanwhile, it seems Microsoft has stopped responding to reporters' questions about China-related issues.
