Just make those Google DNS servers the secondary (or primary) to your ISP's
DNS in your router/gateway. That is an easy permanent fix that covers you
for an ISP or Google DNS outage.
[ I agree. And by the way, Google has published a specific Public
DNS privacy policy that details exactly how associated data
retention and destruction policies operate (and it's entirely

Several sources informed me that this was yet another Comcast DNS
failure (not independently confirmed, however).
In an emergency, Google's DNS is easy to remember: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
