At last minute, UK Info Commissioner changes interpretation of new cookie rules

http://j.mp/LrizDh (Information Commissioner UK)

"Implied consent is [now] a valid form of consent and can be used in the
context of compliance with the revised rules on cookies."

At the last minute, the UK info commissioner says that "implied"
consent on Web site cookie usage is sufficient, but this is still an
incredible, awful, insane mess. Demonizing cookies never made sense,
and has created vast new confusion, not made things easier for
consumers.
