With Plan X, Pentagon seeks to spread U.S. military might to
cyberspace

http://j.mp/KdEaUl (Washington Post)

"The Pentagon is turning to the private sector, universities and even
computer game companies as part of an ambitious effort to develop
technologies to improve its cyberwarfare capabilities, launch
effective attacks and withstand the likely retaliation."

Sorry, I continue to consider most of this to be cyber-profiteering,
plain and simple, combined with the ongoing turf wars within the
various U.S. military services. While they're busy playing cyberwar,
there are probably groups out there with purloined Russian fissile
material, figuring out how to deliver surprises in cargo containers
that arrive in ports every day. No Internet Required. Still a very big
boom. Suggested reading: Superiority by Arthur C. Clarke (1951):
