"Speaking at the Sanford Bernstein Strategic Decisions conference,
Stephenson [AT&T CEO] noted that customers are beginning to
understand tiered data pricing, which may cause them to avoid
data-heavy types of over-the-top content services. And since
content providers are trying to monetize their content over
mobile, he said he can envision a model where content providers
are willing to pay to bring customers to their content."

OK, pencils ready? There will be a quiz afterwards.
Step 1: Get subscribers hooked on streaming with flat rate plans
Step 2: Impose arbitrary bandwidth caps and high prices to make
most streaming impractical for most subscribers
Step 3: Demand lotsa cash from content providers who still want to
be able to reach your subscribers
Step 4: Keep squeezing the chump...uh, content providers who aren't
paying you, by further tightening bandwidth caps and raising
prices. Use anticompetitive agreements with other firms
whenever possible to enhance revenue.
Step 5: Order another pair of gold-plated hot tubs and matching Lamborghinis!
