The BT folks are working closely with Comcast and other large ISPs today, and the big ISPs are quite happy with the new UDP-based transport for uTorrent. They've tested it, they like the way it backs off, and find it works well with their "modems," especially the older ones.

Some wag said piracy was the killer app for broadband. If you believe that, these "dogs sleeping with cats" stories come as no surprise.

This makes good PR. But in fact, they are interested in making money.
And the most effective way they can see to do this is to make 
BitTorrent the best possible instrument for shifting content providers'
