And the winner of the best Android Blue Box app is ...

There are a number of Touch Tone (DTMF) and "Blue Box" (MF Tones)
generating apps in Android Market. Most of them are sort of cute
demos, but due to low quality tones, or the lack of the critical
ability to generate continuous tones while a key is held, they could
not be considered to be fully functional devices. With its upgrade
today, "ToneDef" is clearly the winner -- the first Android "Box" app
I've seen that meets these crucial criteria and more (such as the
ability to control the length of tones and intertone spacing for
programmatic playback). This is definitely a useful Touch Tone app,
and if you ever find a trunk that still responds to 2600/MF, you too
can play Phone Phreak. Ah, the memories. Now that's entertainment!
