Spring Break Gets Tamer as World Watches Online

"But today's spring breakers - at least some of them - say they have
been tamed, in part, not by parents or colleges or the fed-up cities
they invade, but by the hand-held gizmos they hold dearest and the
fear of being betrayed by an unsavory, unsanctioned photo or video
popping up on Facebook or YouTube."

I would suggest that only the most *public* aspects of spring break
"traditions" have been significantly affected by photo fear. Just as
in other aspects of "surveillance" on the Net, the primary effect is
likely to push more behaviors that might earlier have been public into
more private venues, where in fact they might be even more ... well,
the point is, the prudes in the audience probably had better not take
too much solace from this article.
