Comcast says "competition is just too darned expensive!" "In short, Cohen said it's too expensive to compete against other cable companies--even though Comcast is spending $45.2 billion to purchase Time Warner Cable. Comcast and TWC aren't likely to start competing against each other even if they remain separate." - - - This is the same guy who says that even if you're against the merger, secretly in your heart of hearts you're actually in favor of the merger. He also sounds very confident that Comcast already has the merger in the bag and that the Internet is in his pocket to play with however he sees fit. It's good to be the king! --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein (firstname.lastname@example.org): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy I am a consultant to Google -- I speak only for myself, not for them.
